Romania’s Vehicle Industry – 2022 Trends

Romania’s vehicle industry is on a rising slate this year and grew by 35.56% in units of sales. The registration of cars in Romania increased in the year 2022. However, Romania’s import-export data for 2022 suggests something otherwise in comparison to 2021.

Romania’s imports and exports in 2022 are shown below for the first quarter of 2022, in comparison with imports and exports in 2021. The imports in Q1-2021 amounted to $1.2 billion, while the imports in Q1-2022 amounted to $1.2 billion. This shows an increase in imports by 3.9% in 2022 so far.

Romania’s exports of vehicles and parts amounted to $1.9 billion in Q1-2021. On the other hand, the exports in Romania amounted to $1.7 billion in Q1-2022. This shows that exports in 2022 are rising, more than the imports. However, Romania’s imports amounted higher than its exports.
